Geoff Farnsworth is the lead bike fitter with Posivelo. A lifelong experience as a cyclist having raced competitively as a mountain biker, been a race team , manufacturers representative, shop manager and to bike fitting since 2014.. A passion for mountain biking, bike camping and one-day fondos, a two time Race Across America ( RAAM ) participant.
He has worked with many Cycling Canada and Team Quebec athletes, specifically for aero testing and optimization.
Holder of a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Montreal, Jules has been offering cycling positioning services at Posivelo for more than two years. An experienced elite cyclist in road cycling, he has participated in several international competitions, including the prestigious Tour de Beauce, the Philadelphia International Cycling Classic, and the Tour du Rwanda.
Jules is currently working on a doctoral project at the Laboratoire de technologies et d'innovation pour la performance sportive (L-Tips) of the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières. His project involves creating a model for tracking and predicting performance in cycling.
A knowledge seeker, he reads practically anything related to sports performance. He is known for his attention to detail, his ability to combine the latest scientific advancements with field practice, and his deep desire to help and advise others to achieve their goals.
All kinds of bikes and all kinds of riders.

We have begun VELODROME aero testing in the newly minted Centre National Cyclisme Bromont (CNCB) using the Garmin / Alphamantis Track Aero system.
Reservations for this service are based on track availability.
The gebioMized team has been working on the optimal seating position since 2001. Developed in cooperation with the University of Münster, our dynamic bike fitting concept is now represented in over 20 countries worldwide.
In addition to suitable measurement technology, we also support the international bikefitter scene with training courses at various levels and in several languages.
A good bike fit needs to solve the issues the cyclist may be having and help the rider meet their cycling goals. We look to establish a neutral athletic posture that at once will permit balance of comfort and a good bike handling and experience, the ability to generate power to the pedal in a stable movement and aerodynamics depending pn event specifics. Posivelo will analyze the rider kinematics in order to minimize injury and maximize efficiency and power generation.
This fit a balance between given event guidelines and rules, duration, aerodynamic resistance and optimized biomechanical output with the lowest metabolic cost possible. This is a fit covering all points of contact with a focus on aerodynamics.
Posivelo has a long list of Olympic, track pursuit and Ironman athletes who can attest to the quality of our services.
The fit starts with a comprehensive physical assessment and interview then uses most of the fit tools we have in the studio in combination with our EYES. Motion capture, pressure mapping technology from Gebiomized along with the latest in high-speed video technology.
Designed to understand your abilities, experience, limitations and issues then adjust your bike to fit you, creating harmony of bike and rider.
Our most popular offering, this is a primarily analog fit session meaning we don’t employ the fit tooling to the same degree but it does cover all bases to ensure a good marriage between the body and bike. The Studio Fit is designed to position riders in a good balanced athletic posture based on their goals to ensure efficient riding and injury prevention. Fit works to solve any fit problems and areas of discomfort but does not delve into performance optimization.
The positioning service for bike purchase includes two sessions. The first session (1.5hr duration.) allows us to establish your optimal position using your old bike or our adjustable bike. At the end of this first session, we will have determined the ideal measurements for your new bike and we will be able to recommend the ideal model and size for your new bike.
In the second 1 hour session, we will refine the position once a new bike has been built to specifications.
In the absence of testing data from a wind tunnel, fluid dynamics or velodrome test we employ the Bioracer Virtual Wind Tunnel green screen to provide live feedback on front area of a given aerodynamic posture. Bioracer Aero system is able to cut out out the rider on a green screen with a view to measuring the biggest component in the coefficient of drag acting on a rider, the A in CdA, or size of the frontal area.
Aero is massively important! In order to minimize air resistance and to get the most performance out of the riders’ position, we optimize the bodies’ interaction with their equipment in order to maximize performance and minimize the chance of injury from unnecessary movement or unsustainable postures on the bike. We now offer aero testing for professional and amateur riders in the newly minted CNCB Bromont Sylvan Adams velodrome.
The measuring tool we use is the Garmin Track Aero System (TAS) formerly Alphamantis and it is the gold standard in aerodynamic analysis. The process measures your CdA as you ride around the velodrome, wirelessly sending the data to the analyst in track centre. Small changes in position and equipment set up are compared to a baseline and with multiple runs eventually we can chip away at the air resistance and make you more aerodynamic for a given power output.
The track is thus turned into a laboratory, with trackside computers calculating live CdA values.
Testing sessions are performed at the CNCB Sylvan Adams Velodrome in Bromont Quebec and can be arranged for an individual or group booking.
Our innovative TAS is a cutting-edge technology that allows real-time testing of aerodynamic efficiency while you’re riding. The system allows us to measure your coefficient of drag (CdA) as you ride, and it enables us to conclusively determine the optimal position and equipment combination for you and your bike — ultimately improving your performance.
